Taha Imzilen's doctoral degree ceremony at Sorbonne University

26 July 2022

After defending his thesis entitled "Analysis and modelling of the trajectories of drifting fish aggregating devices (FADs) in tropical oceanic areas and estimation of the risks associated with their deployment" on 15/12/2021, under the supervision of Christophe Lett (IRD) and David Kaplan (IRD), Taha Imzilen (IRD) received his diploma during the
ceremony organised on 25 June 2022 at the Sorbonne University International Conference Centre.

The ceremony started with a musical performance followed by the speech of the President of the University and representatives of the patron of the Class of 2022 Jacqueline Lichtenstein (1947-2019, philosopher and art historian). The doctors then came on stage to receive their sashes, and immortalized this moment with the President and the professors, without forgetting to perpetuate the tradition with the much awaited "hat Throwing" of the ceremony hat.
