Fishglob conference: Fish biodiversity facing global change

Organized on December 05, 2024 by the FRB-Cesab, at the University of Montpellier from 2:00 pm to 6:30 pm, this conference will present the activities of the Fishglob working group, which has collected and combined a unique set of data from scientific trawling campaigns carried out regularly over the last few decades around the world.

At 2:00 pm, Nicolas MOUQUET (CNRS, MARBEC), Scientific Director of CESAB, and Philippe AUGÉ, Director of the University of Montpellier, will introduce the conference, followed by Bastien MÉRIGOT (UM, MARBEC) who will present “FISHGLOB & UN Ocean Decade” until 2:45 pm.

The conference will be held entirely in English, and is free of charge. Co-directed by Aurore MAUREAUD, Bastien MÉRIGOT, and Deng PALOMARES, Fishglob is a project of the United Nations Decade of the Ocean. It aims to provide an infrastructure for international cooperation and knowledge transfer between data providers, scientists and stakeholders, to support the adaptation of biodiversity and fisheries management in an era of global change.
