Organised by the Academy of Toulouse, this conference, intended for a multidisciplinary audience of teachers, aims to update knowledge.
Biodiversity in the oceans is subject to cumulative pressures that challenge their capacity for adaptation and resilience. In terms of science, oceans and marine biodiversity are frontier objects for which observation, understanding and prediction call for a wide range of techniques and knowledge.
« Using the example of seabirds, this conference will illustrate the climatic, ecological, economic and political issues at stake, the way they are approached today, and possible directions for integrating the wealth of disciplinary knowledge into a truly transdisciplinary approach ».
