Arnaud Bertrand, guest at the state dinner in honour of Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva

Arnaud Bertrand, Director of IRD Research at MARBEC, took part in the state dinner hosted by President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace in honour of Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. The dinner was part of the Brazilian President's official visit to France, a year marked by a number of bilateral events, including the United Nations Conference on the Oceans (UNOC3) in Nice, COP 30 in Belem in November, and the
France-Brazil 2025 Season. TAPIOCA, and therefore MARBEC, is playing an active role in these events, in particular through the
TERRA MAR exhibition.

During the evening, fruitful discussions took place with Agnès Pannier-Runacher, the French Minister for Ecological Transition, Energy and Climate, and Marina Silva, the Brazilian Minister for the Environment and Climate Change. The latter greatly appreciates the work of LMI TAPIOCA and hopes to be able to take part in the inauguration of the TERRA MAR exhibition in Recife next October.
