Sylvie LAPÈGUE (Ifremer, MARBEC), a researcher in population genomics, will take part in this event by reading a scientific story for all ages entitled ‘Together with clams’.

NUIT
MÉDITERRANÉENNE
DES CHERCHEUSES
2025
Join Sylvie and meet Paloma, a young clam separated from her family in her native Mediterranean lagoon, who encounters researchers fighting to prevent her species from becoming extinct!
The Mednight consortium (www.mednight.eu) organised a short story competition on the theme of Mediterranean science. Around a hundred stories were submitted from all the countries in the consortium, and the most original ones were published in two collections called Contes de Mednight, Edition Junior and Edition V.
During the Night, two female scientists whose short stories have been published, Sylvie LAPÈGUE and Marie-Sarah CABRILLAC, will read their stories and then discuss them with the audience present, along with their field of research.
